The Patient Participation Group

 

The Merritt Medical Centre Patient Participation Group is formed of the PPGs of the Chessington Park Surgery and the Hook Surgery at the Merritt Medical Centre. Patients at both surgeries are able to belong to the PPG and the group is run by a small number of patients and staff from both surgeries. The group is affiliated to the National Association of Patient Pariticipation (NAPP). NAPP newsletters are available in the Patient Resources Room for your information. Membership of the PPG is open to all patients and staff of the two surgeries at the Merritt Medical Centre.

We are always very keen to hear from patients who would be willing to devote a little time to helping the PPG - either as a comittee member, with the organisation and running of events, or have ideas for information sessions and events.

Recently we have organised information sessions on smoking cessation, men's health, asthma and diabetes.

The events organised by the PPG are advertised on the noticeboard in the Patient Resources Room and at each of the two surgeries.

May we ask you to note, however, that the PPG is not a channel for complaints relating to either of the two surgeries. Each of the surgeries has its own system in place for dealing with complaints.
